MICHAEL WETTON

Eur.Ing, B.Tech(Hons), C.Eng, MIMechE, MCIBSE, MRICS, MCIOB, FFB

Director

Mike joined Butler & Young in 1984 and attained Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE and MIMechE. He was instrumental in diversifying Butler & Young’s Construction Consultancy Services into Lifts, Fire Engineering and Approved Inspector Building Control in addition to expanding the M&E client base, primarily in the public sector. These sister companies have subsequently flourished in their own right and are well known across the Construction industry as indeed is the original M&E consultancy.

This above process enabled achievement of RICS and CIOB chartered status together with a Fellowship of the Faculty of Building.

Butler & Young Associates is an SME, and as such the Directors value performance and client satisfaction on a personal basis. Mike’s role is to ensure that, through project success and good client relationships, Butler & Young’s reputation as a leading and sought after M&E consultancy is maintained and enhanced. Our history of client and staff retention demonstrate and compliment this philosophy.

More recently Mike has been assisting London Borough of Barking & Dagenham in ensuring that their Legionella management is compliant. During this time he has become knowledgeable with the workings and idiosyncrasies of Local Authorities which is proving useful on other council projects.

He has also been heavily involved in M&E maintenance, preparing systems and procuring contractors for Kensington & Chelsea and Salvation Army Housing Association.

Mike’s role is to ensure delivery that exceeds his client expectations, leading to repeat opportunities and an ongoing relationship valued by all parties.

He is CRB (enhanced) registered.
